First of all you will see that the cover is horizontal, why? Because the new format that launched Ediciones B since November 2010. Is very small, a real paperback book, literally. It's great, is very well done and even though you have almost 600 pages is thin and weighs nothing. I took it in December on the plane trip because as you can carry no weight in any bag without problem, and also very easy to read. I think without doubt that this format was a great idea. And now see what's going on this wonderful book.
SYNOPSIS (Back):
"" But how much tape do you have? I ask the vampire, and turned to the boy could see his profile. Enough for the story of a life?
"Of course. But it must be a good life. That's fair, is not it?
-Extremely fair, "answered the vampire. I would like to tell the story of my life. I would love to. "
Possibly the most original vampire story ever written, the novel by Anne Rice is a classic of our time and has been made into a film.
PERSONAL OPINION:
A journalist gets to interview a guy who is convinced he is a vampire. Louise and the young journalist decides to tell the story of his life.
Louise Two hundred years ago, a young unhappy about the sad things that have happened in his life, attracting the attention of the vampire Lestat.
Lestat, accustomed to having everything you want in the world, becomes infatuated with Louise, I love so you want to accompany you through all eternity, and so Louise decides to turn into a vampire .
after undergoing the transformation to vampire Louise continues to suffer during the learner's Lestat makes him so you can survive in the world as a vampire, they have to drink Sagres and to do so has to kill people, and he is not ready.
This debate between the thirst for blood with his desire to kill and your conscience will not permit it, while watching people die that I knew and see the world changing around him as he is sentenced to remain eternally young and damn ...
(...) The old man never knew what had happened. I bled enough, opening a large wound to die without feeling my dark passion. I could not support that thought. (...) "
Book is incredible. These are not really vampires and vampire novels juvenile monkeys. They drink blood, kill people, stain the beauty and inexplicable attraction is very sexy.
Anne Rice gets us into the supernatural world fantastic and so realistic you feel like being there. Without a doubt I give you my best score. For him my five kittens!:
