Shirts To Wear To My Baby Shower

Second lecture in the Master of IPO in Lleida

Yesterday Tuesday 06 May, I made my second paper "and report results of a test user " to students in the Master IPO the University of Lleida .

This time, I accompanied one of the cracks that have on your computer, Andrés Jordi Solsona. To be his first presentation I think I deal with a note:)

All professionals who are dedicated to this sector we know that we can be the best to apply different methodologies in usability, but if the result of our work not reflected in:
  • U No good report
  • Good presentation
Little will the effort devoted to the project. But like everything in life is experience, and having been surrounded by good people with many projects behind them.

The paper was based on two points:
  • qualitative outputs: usability recommendations that will
    • explain everything that last test users
    • problems have been detected
    • Recommendations for improvement can be made

  • quantitative outputs:
  • usability metrics
    • time per task
    • errors per task and total
    • degree of successful completion of the tasks
    • user satisfaction
In the next image you can see the pattern I always use to train new team members the realization of a good report:
important to note the last sentence, I learned from a professional "We must draw up the report that we would read to us ..."

Jordi summed up perfectly in the picture below, the keys to making a good presentation. Many times there are many ways for granted but it was never taken into account.
I hope that the paper would serve the students, to learn the basic guidelines:
  • The analysis of data from a user test
  • Achieving a good report
  • The keys to a good presentation of results
I encourage people who want to do this scene, you see the Master of Lleida as a good gateway to usability consultancies.
